“The investment of three weeks, both in time and financially, felt worth it because I’m investing in something deeper than completing a vision board. And having Danielle come alongside me through that process is a blessing in itself. "This is when I knew I wanted to say yes to this next step...For most of my life, when something painful happened, my question was always, 'Why me? Why this? Why now? Why did I have to walk through things I never would have chosen?' I spent years trying to make sense of the hard places, wondering if there was a reason for them or if they were simply things I had to survive. But something has shifted in me. I’m beginning to understand that maybe I was never going to find the answer by looking backward and asking why. Maybe the answer is found by looking forward and asking God what He wants to do with it. That is why I didn’t hesitate when I felt Him leading me toward this next step. For once, I didn’t feel the need to question the nudge, debate whether I was ready, or convince myself that someone else would be better equipped. I simply knew. And I said yes. I am opening myself completely to God, not just the polished parts of my story, but the broken, painful, confusing parts too. I’m giving Him permission to take the things I once considered weaknesses and show me how they can become places of strength, compassion, and purpose. Maybe the answer to 'Why me?' was never meant to be revealed while I was in the middle of the pain. Maybe it’s being revealed now. And “Why now?” Because I’m finally ready to stop getting in my own way. I don’t want to spend another season questioning what God is asking me to do. I don’t want fear, insecurity, or the need to understand everything first to keep me from walking into what He has prepared. I have surrendered my timeline, my expectations, and my need for certainty. I’m not asking God to show me the whole road anymore. I’m asking Him to show me the next step and I will take it. And if my story can be used to reach even one woman who has wondered why she had to walk through what she walked through, then maybe I’m finally beginning to see the answer. Maybe it was never just 'Why me?' Maybe it has always been 'Why not you?'
